Dimiourgo- 'to create'
First of all I'd like to say hello to anyone who is reading this or will be reading this!
This is the start of an amazing faith journey! God turned me in another direction, a direction I could of never of believed he would or even a direction that I would even know to pray for!
I've been listening to 'Abraham' series from Ben Stuart @ Breakaway Ministries at aTm http://www.breakawayministries.org/ and at the same time, my home church Houston's First, was preaching about Abraham too! God was definitely preparing me for a faith journey, one that he would ask me to pick up everything I know and everything that made me comfortable...and MOVE!
God spoke to me at a women's conference in College Station called 'Masterpiece' http://www.butterflyblog.net/BUTTERFLY_BLOG/HOME.html
I was sitting in a pew and God said...'move here'....I laughed! Then he said it again...then I laughed again...
He was serious. Throughout the weekend and the next few days, God began to give me confirmation from others that I was supposed to go.
Physical destination: known
Goal: completely unknown
I started to visit College Station regularly and relationships were beginning. I got plugged into an awesome homegroup but it wasn't exactly where God wanted me to be. God told me a month later, after our first conversation about moving here, what I was going to be doing.
I gasped, laughed, rejoiced...and laughed again.
He said...'your going to open an art gallery. a place of refuge, a sanctuary, where i will dwell. a place for my children to meet me. the art on the walls with be prophetic and i will heal. i will be God and i will be your father. gather my children.'
Of course I had my doubts...this journey has been ALL about God showing up and proving himself to be God in the midst of crazy doubts!
The next morning my devotional read: 'Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. 15 All the land that you see I will give to you..." -Genesis 13:14-15
Below it said...'if the holy spirit has given you a dream/vision believe that God will fulfill it.'
WOWWWWW! Could he be more obvious?! or serious?!
I was speaking to a friend and he told me I should try a church out, Antioch! I didn't think much of it but I was probably going to check it out. 20 minutes later...through a message from a new friend on facebook (karen) invited me to a church called Antioch! (this church is a new small church so its not just a small town, Gods divine apointments were happening!) Karen and I became friends from a mutual friend that me and her rarely talked to....so that was another amazing thing the Lord had up his sleeve! Thanks Bryce!!
I went to church and IMMEDIATELY felt welcomed and loved! I knew this was going to be my new church! Many people already heard about me from others, about the art gallery and what not so I already had the support that I had been praying for!!
My friends in Houston are starting a House of Prayer called Solomon's Portico....so while at lunch on Sunday, I mentioned that I would like to meet some of the HOP people from College Station. Mitchell, who was sitting at the end of the table raised his hand and said, I'm one of them! HAHA!
After lunch, my new brothers and sisters prayed for me in the parking lot!
I went home and asked my parents if I could move to College Station, a little weary, they gave me their blessing as long as I could get a job and support myself! Thank you mom and dad! Blessings on you!
So I'm sitting here now, in the city of College Station, currently looking for a job, praying for open doors! I'm also hanging out with a sister, Jacqueline! Her friend just met up with us and we began talking. My friend Karen sent me information about some christian artists at aTm that I should connect with! I was looking this up right after she got here and told them what I found...2 seconds later Laura says 'my sister is the director of that organization!!!!' MORE DIVINE APPOINTMENTS!!!
God,
this blog is for you and your glory. this is for my journey with you to be a blessing to others that are possibly on the crazy journey of faith that you always call us to be on!
I love you with all my mind and strength, your the pursuit of my heart
I live to see your face, so let it shine on me, and let me feel it.
Daughter of the King,
Katherine
